- Continued to partner with Just Deeds to help residents in Hennepin County remove restrictive covenants from their property

- Created Energy Action Team with Xcel Energy Partners in Energy program to begin work on the City's Action Plan focused on energy initiatives
- Hired new position, Sustainability Coordinator
- Maintained GreenStep 5 and Tree City certifications
- Held two Cardboard Recycling Events, collected 1.53 tons of cardboard
- Held Annual Clean-Up Day, collected 6.14 tons of materials and debris
- Held Annual electronics recycling event partnering with Repowered, collected .5 tons of electronics and saved 914 pounds of household items
- Held Fix-It Clinic, repaired 115 items
- Continued to promote use of our food scraps collection site (organics recycling), collected approximately 83.2 tons of organics
- Continued single hauler waste and recycling collection
- Opened City's first fully accessible playground with rubber surface and swingset at Silver Point Park through grant funding from GameTime
- Rehabbed a key water supply well, Well No. 4, ensuring reliable and operational efficiency of City's water supply
- Planted 39 trees in City right-of-way and parks
- Conducted 10 City-wide street sweepings
- Purchased two electric pick-up trucks in alignment with the City's Climate Plan
Held 2024 Snowplow Naming Contest, partnering with Community Services Pre-School, St. Charles Borromeo School and Wilshire Elementary School - (Blizzy, Minnesnowta, Frosty the Snowplow)
- Began exploration of municipal cannabis sales
- Net profit for Municipal Liquor Operations increased 27%
- Operating expenses for Municipal Liquor Operations decreased 5%
POLICE DEPARTMENT
- Saint Anthony Village Police Department hired and trained four new officers
Purchased and trained officers in new scheduling and investigative software - Collected and responsibly disposed of nearly 340 pounds of pharmaceuticals through our Medicine Dropbox Program
- Held Coffee with Chief and Coffee with Cop events in community
- Saint Anthony Police Department and Fire Departments partnered to hold Summer Safety Camp
- Participated in Night to Unite, CPKC Holiday Train and Hot Dogs with a Cop and Firefighters
- Held community Cops versus Kids Basketball Challenge
- Introduced new resource for officers, known as the Peer Support Team. Three officers attended a 40-hour course designed to keep our members healthy and fit for duty
- Closed 218 Cases, 156 cases were cleared by arrest with a 42% Clearance Rate
- Provided staff with 1,894 hours of continuing education and training
FIRE DEPARTMENT
- 8% increase in Calls for Service, i5th year in a row
- 1,957 Total Calls for service (+145 over 2023)
- Zero reported civilian injuries reports
- Average response time for Code 3 (emergency) calls is 2:28
- Almost 80% of call volume was for medical calls which is our highest category of call volume
- 356 medical calls this year included Advanced Life Services interventions
- Fire Department conducted 1, 945 hours of training
- Captain Mattie Jaros was promoted to Deputy Fire Chief, a new position
- Firefighters Ryan Snyder and Sam Herrera-Fletcher were promoted to Captain
- Eight rookies are in training
- Santa on Fire Truck collected 1300 toys and $4500 in donations for Toys for Tots
- More than 600 people attended the annual Fire Department Open House in October
- Reached more than 1200 students and youth through community Fire Safety education, Safety Camp and Cub Scout Badget clases
- Held 17 CPR Classes
- Conducted 22 Home Safety Surveys and installed 67 free smoke alarms for residents
- Conducted Senior safety Education at 4 locations and reached more than 100 residents
- City of Saint Anthony received improvement to bond rating from Standard & Poor's - increased from AA to AA_ which will provide a reduction in interest rates on future deb issuances.
- Three new members of Finance Team
- Prioritized training and cross-training throughout 2024
- Implemented additional fraud protection and notifications
- Collaborated with Billing software, meter software and Public Work team to resolve long-time multiplier issue
- Collaboration with Mississippi Water Management Organization includes shared Human Resources position and a new budget and coding system implemented (since 2012)
- Partnership with NineNorth to support core financial operations, resulting in significant cost savings in both software and staffing, ensures continuity and quality in NineNorth's financial management (since2021)
- Ongoing partnership with City of Birchwood Village to support their utility billing operations (since 2012)
