Pollinator gardens are not just converted areas that will no longer need to be mowed. When done correctly they are areas of one’s landscape dedicated to supporting pollinators, such as bees, butterflies and spiders, by providing them with food (nectar/pollen) and habitat (a home). The plants are chosen specifically for their nectar-filled flowers and/or their stems in which many bees can take shelter and nest.
This FREE class is a joint partnership between St. Anthony Community Services and the St. Anthony Fire Department Code Education and Enforcement Division. The class provides an opportunity for attendees to learn- for free- how to create a pollinator garden that follows St. Anthony City code. All attendees must wear a mask and remain socially distanced (6 feet) between family units.
