US Internet, a fiber internet provider, has a permit from the city to install underground fiber in the right-of-way throughout much of the village this summer. See a map of the proposed area shown in blue here. The permit requires US Internet to restore the right-of-way to its original condition if disturbed. Underground boring work has already started and is expected to continue through the summer.
