Traffic Impacts

Drainage improvements along Silver Lake Road north and south of Silver Lane will begin Monday, May 6, 2019. Lane closures and/or lane shifts will be in place during construction.

Lane Closures

Current through Friday, July 19th Silver Lake Road is open to traffic.  The signal at Windsor Lane will return to normal operation and the signal at Silver Lane will continue flashing red until Ramsey County completed their curb removal/replacement next week.

Future Lane Closures

Current through Friday, July 19th Silver Lake Road is open traffic, with left turn restrictions at Silver Lane.  The signal at Silver Lane will continue flashing red until Ramsey County completed their curb removal/replacement next week.  Following curb replacement, the signal will resume normal operation.  To accommodate curb removal and replacement by Ramsey County traffic shifts may be necessary.

PLEASE NOTE: the pavement will remain low in anticipation for the Ramsey County mill and overlay improvement along Silver Lake Road scheduled for late August.  A wedge has been installed along all sides of the patch to accommodate traffic in the interim.

Periodic updates to traffic impacts will be provided throughout the project as they become available.

Detour

Northbound traffic will be detoured east along County Road D to Old Highway 8 to County Road E. Southbound traffic will be detoured east along County Road E to Old Highway 8 to County Road D. The posted detour route is illustrated above.

Metro Transit Bus Route

Metro Transit bus routes #25 and #825 have resumed their original routes for the duration of the project.
